About Me

Hello, I’m Cleve

“There was a specific kind of longing I experienced as a Floridian away from home for so many years. It’s the way I missed the unmistakable fragrance of salt air, the weight of humidity just before a thunderstorm or looking out into the inky darkness punctuated by stars above the Atlantic at night.

As a fifth-generation Floridian, those roots are part of my DNA. But while I was away, serving in the Air Force and stationed on the North Sea coast in Germany, or among the rocky landscapes of South Korea, that connection was my anchor. I didn’t just miss the weather; I missed the stories—the forgotten corners and the local legends that make our state so much more than a tourist destination.

I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a degree in Illustration and a passion for pen & ink, and watercolor; but it was my absence that gave me my mission; to return home to the sunshine & azaleas and bridge the distance between the Florida we love and the mailbox we check every day. Postcard From Florida is my way of sharing our regional narratives through something you can actually hold in your hands. No screens, no digital noise, no hurry—just authentic art and history, from my easel to your door.”
